Uday Kiran is dead after committing suicide on Sunday night at Srinagar colony in Punjagutta.
The famed Telugu actor killed himself in his apartment, police told the Hindu.
His wife Vishita and neighbors rushed him to the hospital after finding his body hanging from the ceiling in a room in the apartment, but to no avail. Doctors declared him dead at the hospital.
Kiran was born on January 26, 1980.
Kiran, 33, was married to Vishita last year.
As an actor, he has 18 credits to his name, but he is perhaps best known for for his work on Nuvvu Nenu (2001), Manasantha Nuvve (2001) and Neeku Nenu Naaku Nuvvu (2003).
