Pokemon Go players in Las Vegas were approached by a robber in what evolved into a shootout in the early morning of July 25.

A group of six people were playing Pokemon Go at Freedom Park at 4 a.m. when a male driver, gun drawn, pulled up in a vehicle asking for money and property, according to Metro Police.

One of the victims retrieved a gun, and the two sides exchanged fire, said Officer Michael Rodriguez via the Las Vegas Sun. One person in the group was struck and taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Another person, believed to be the suspect, was also wounded. He was taken to University Medical Center and is being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.

His car was also located, Metro Lt. David Gordon told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Detectives are now on the scene investigating the incident, Gordon said.

No further information is known at this time.
