These two pit bulls lived in a truck yard in Los Angeles for many months until Home for Paws animal shelter decided to take them in.

They wouldn’t let anybody close to them, so it took a while for Eldad Hagar, co-founder of the shelter, and five volunteers to complete the rescue mission.

First they blocked all escape routes and then crawled under the trucks with catch loops. The male pup didn’t put up much of a fight and even let Hagar to pet him right away.

But the female was more evasive, running around and hiding. After about 10 minutes she calmed down and let herself to be caught.

“We all sat together under the trucks for a while so they could relax, and then we carried them to our cars so we could continue to the hospital,” Hagar wrote in the video’s description.

They also named the dogs---Clark and Lois.

But the real satisfaction came about 45 minutes later.

The dogs traveled in different cars to the hospital. Lois was the first to arrive. When Clark was brought in, we can see him coming straight to Lois and she’s obviously happy to see him.

Happy reunion indeed.

Now, however, the rescuers face another challenge; They need to find a new home for Lois and Clark, but want to keep them together.

The LA Animal Rescue handles adoptions there, so if you want to help, check out their website.
