Like most web companies, Twitter, will also be tracking the usage of mobile apps from its users to provide relevant content while using the service.
Twitter has announced that it will obtain the “app graph” from their mobile app users which will essentially be a list of apps downloaded or installed by the user over time. Using this information, Twitter, will display tailored tweets and recommend similar accounts to the user.
The company has mentioned that it will not be collecting any personal data from the apps and users who do not agree this idea can opt out of the practice. Twitter will be notifying users about the data collection and only start doing so if the user agrees.
