ORMOND BEACH, Fla.—Norma Scott had been vocal about her support for President Donald Trump before the election, and sees no reason to stop now.

“I’m supporting Trump right up until the very end,” Scott said in her Trump shirt and buttons, carrying a flag.

Scott said she was only a little surprised at the results and news she saw the day after the elections. There had been debate about how voting by mail could allow for fraud before then already. In any case, the results of the election won’t be known until the states have certified their votes on Dec. 14, and Scott doesn’t intend to stop supporting her president. She’s donated to his campaigns in the past and attended other rallies in support of Trump, and says her Trump signs are still in her yard.

Julie Sheldon says she, like millions of Americans, feels disenfranchised right now. Between the statistical anomalies found by independent researchers, and reports of voter fraud, “I think we should allow the investigation of voter fraud,” she said at the rally on Nov. 14.

“I think there’s just a huge division over America right now,” Sheldon said. The mainstream media isn’t helping this division, she added, as they have suppressed information, as has social media.

“I think everyone should be afraid of this [censorship], people on the left, people on the right, should be afraid of the censorship that has been happening,” she said. “Election night, President Trump was ahead by a landslide, there was an incredible turnout by his base. It was exciting. It was frustrating though, because they continued to not call obvious states for Trump like Florida and Texas, and they called other states so early like Arizona. It was very frustrating.”

There was no question that Florida went to Trump, but protestors came out to join the rallies like ones being held all over the country in Florida as well.

Thousands participated in grassroots rallies in state capitals across the country on Nov. 7, 2020, and again a week later on Nov. 14 across the country with more traveling to Washington to demonstrate.

The organizers of the Stop the Steal March on Washington, which includes advocates from various groups, are counting over 52 rallies, many of which occurred independently of their organizing. They have since called on the public to rally every Saturday until the Electoral College makes the call on Dec. 14.

“It’s time to preserve our freedom from being taken away from us,” said Gerald Scott. “A lot of people have forgot what this country stands for; our freedom is at stake right now.”
