Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner is being targeted by creditors as a possible candidate to become the chief executive officer of struggling media company Tribune Company, according to a Los Angeles Times report citing insiders. Tribune is currently under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Eisner took over Walt Disney Co. in the mid-1980s and turned the company around to become one of the most successful media companies in recent times. However, his controversial departure from Disney has since tainted his once-glistening image.
