Trent Richardson looks ready for a comeback. Richardson, who was selected in the first round—third overall—by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Alabama, has dropped 22 pounds, according to his trainer Mike McCoy.
McCoy posted before-and-after photos of Richardson to Instagram as proof.
Once one of the game’s top prospects, Richardson sat out of the entire 2015 season, after not making any team’s roster. This year, he’s signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Baltimore Ravens, per USA Today’s Tom Pelissero.
Listed at 5-foot-9 and weighing 228 pounds by pro-football-reference.com, Richardson would seem to benefit from shedding some weight.
Similar spot for Trent Richardson, who signed a 1-year, $675K deal with #Ravens. $0 guaranteed, injury waiver and split. That time of year.

The former Crimson Tide star rushed for 950 yards as a rookie in 2012 for the Browns, but averaged just 3.6 yards per carry. After a slow start to the 2013 seasons (105 yards, 3.4 yards per carry) Cleveland dealt him to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round pick.
But Richardson’s numbers went down with the Colts as he averaged just 2.9 yards per carry (on 157 carries) in 2013 and then he put up just 3.3 the next season, after which he was released.
