A train derailed in Williams County, Ohio, amid afternoon thunderstorms on Wednesday.

The Williams County Sheriff’s Department said a Norfolk Southern train was derailed between the towns of Edgerton and Bryan, reported WANE-TV.

“Train derailment near northwest Ohio town of Melbern due to #severe t’storm winds,” the Weather Channel tweeted.

Officials suspect that the derailment was caused by high winds.

There were no reports of injuries.

However, power lines and trees were down due to the storms. There were also reports of damaged homes.

For northern Ohio, the National Weather Service had a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until around 8:00 p.m.
