Prime Minister Stephen Harper announces funding to enable Toyota Motor Manufacturing to build a hybrid car in Canada at the Toyota plant in Cambridge, Ont., Wednesday. The federal and Ontario governments are making repayable contributions of up to $34 million to Toyota to build the fuel-efficient vehicle, which would be the first hybrid assembled in Canada, Harper said.
