Dennis Weinstein, the director of advertising at Touro College, was recognized as a “King of Queens” at a September awards ceremony hosted by the Queens Courier.

Weinstein has spearheaded advertising at Touro College for a decade. Prior to his work with Touro, he held marketing positions in fashion, print, and telecommunications industries. His work had taken him across the globe to places like China, Israel, and the Caribbean.

“Being recognized as a king is quite noble,” Weinstein said. “I embrace the daily tasks I face at Touro with the best of my ability, enjoy working with my esteemed colleagues, and look forward to gathering the most effective solutions with my media contacts that will strengthen Touro’s name recognition.”

Some 750 guests attended the Queens Courier event at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows on Sept. 18. Weinstein was among 29 other businessmen honored for achievements the fields of education, religion, healthcare, finance, and not-for-profit community service.

“It is a pleasure and a privilege working creatively with Dennis in presenting the best of Touro College to the public,” Dr. Nadja Graff, vice president of the Division of Graduate Studies, who attended the event with Weinstein, said “I am thrilled that his dedication and service to the College have been recognized in such a distinguished forum.”

Touro College was founded in 1970 primarily to enrich the Jewish heritage. Some 19,000 students are currently enrolled in its schools.
