Starting on July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a nationwide persecution and propaganda campaign aimed at the traditional spiritual discipline, Falun Gong.

Ever since, more and more news reports and independent investigations have unveiled the various forms of torture practitioners are facing; often these tortures lead to death.

Below are some of the torture methods used by police and guards in Chinese labor camps, detention centers, mental hospitals, and brainwashing centers.
