Trailers of Marvel Studio´s The Avengers and readers´ long-time favorite fantasy Harry Potter gathered crowds on Saturday at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, according to MTV news. Avengers is slated for release in 2012 and Thor in 2011.

Avengers Director Joss Whedon appeared at the Comic-Con and announced 13 Going On 30 star Mark Ruffalo will play the new Hulk, the green giant who had two movies come out already in the last ten years . He also announced that Hurt Locker star Jeremy Renner will play Avengers super hero Hawk Eye. Surprisingly, Whedon also unveiled a trailer of Thor, filled with 3D shots of Thor and other superheroes.

Others of the cast and crew that showed up at Comic-Con included Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, and Renner.

As a 1960 comic classic, The Avengers tells the story of a team of superheroes who battle with their eternal enemies. The list of superheroes changes from volume to volume.

The 2012 movie based on the book comes with a plot focusing on Superheroes Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawk Eye, and others. According to the Internet Movie Database, The Avengers is expected to appear on screen in May 2012.

In addition, Tom Felton showed a clip from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

In the video, Harry and his friends search after Voldemort after he took over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Love Actually actor Bill Nighy was introduced as the Rufus Scrimgeour in the movie. The clip also gave a hint of confrontation between Happy and Ron, reported by BigPond News.
