A skunk steps into a lighted frame, sees a camera, and does a handstand.

It then begins to step and sway—back-and-forth—staring head on at the lens. But this spotted skunk isn’t dancing for dinner; it believes the wildlife camera at Saguaro National Park in Arizona is an enemy.

Spotted skunks, like all other varieties, spray aspiring attackers as a form of defense. But prior to that, on occasion, spotted skunks will rear up into a handstand and attempt to intimidate any prospective predators.

The video was captured last summer and recently published by the National Park Service. No word on if the camera eventually got sprayed.
