Starbucks has a secret menu. Google Chrome has a secret dinosaur game.

When your Chrome browser can’t connect to the internet, the error page shows an icon of a tiny T-Rex.

But that icon isn’t just for show, it’s also the avatar in a simple obstacle game that you can unlock by pressing the SPACE bar.

The T-Rex trots along the desert, jumping up over cactus plants when you press the space bar. It even keeps a high score.

It shouldn’t be considered a total surprise that Google has inserted a nifty animation into their browser, given their track record of decorating their home page with a variety of surprises over the years.
