According to the recent report by MTV, the popular AMC sci-fi thriller “The Walking Dead” will be renewed for many more seasons.

Scott M. Gimple, the producer of the zombie series, said in a recent interview with Larry King that it’s very possible that the show could go on and on and on.

“I think if it went 10 years, if it went longer than that, it’s possible that the cast — considering the amount of deaths on this cast and everything else — after 10, 12 years, it could shift into a whole new cast,” Gimple said according to MTV.

The last episode of the fourth season aired on March 30, 2014.

Currently the Season 5 premiere is set for October 12, 2014, according to IMDb. In the first episode, “after learning that Terminus was nothing but a trap, Rick and the group must do whatever it takes to escape,” writes the website.

Also according to the interview with King via The Stir, Gimple said that the new season will have much more action driven sequences. “The story that we’re telling demands [action]. We’re not going to shy away from character, but the balance will be a little more towards action,” Gimple said.
