Judges on the popular NBC reality show “The Voice,” have said that they'd be more than excited to sign on Gwen Stefani as a judge for the seventh season of the show, according to a report by E! Online.
Judge Blake Shelton didn’t confirm the news, but said “If there is a person in this world named Gwen Stefani, I think she would probably be a great addition to this show.”
The show’s host, Carson Daly said in an E!Online interview “I think she'd be a great fit for this family,” about Stefani.
Although the news outlet didn’t confirm who Stefani will be replacing, TMZ, confirmed that Stefani will be replacing Christina Aguilera on the show. The report also highlights Aguilera’s second pregnancy as the cause why the singer is getting replaced. Season 7 begins taping in June, 2014.
Stefani’s contract is only for one season, after which Aguilera will return to her duty as judge on the show.
Another new coach to look out for during the seventh season is Pharrell Williams.
“The Voice” will resume to NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m sometime in the fall.
