A man known as “Viking Guy” took down a dangerous drunk thug, and the footage has gone viral.

Adrian Kaczmarek is being hailed a hero for using a sleeper chokehold to stop an unruly and apparently impaired man who had just confronted a bicyclist and became aggressive with another passenger.

Kaczmarek moved behind the man and placed him in a chokehold.

I didn't want to seriously hurt the guy. I just wanted to stop him from hurting anyone.

The man slowly loses consciousness, and then “Viking Guy” pins him with his foot until sheriff’s deputies arrived.

“I didn’t want to seriously hurt the guy,” Kaczmarek wrote on Facebook. “He was in another world messed up on drugs and I just wanted to stop him from hurting anyone. Had him pinned down until the cops came a stop later and arrested him. Just trying to do the right thing.”

The fitness club manager added to NBC about what he did Sunday night: “I was more concerned about my safety and the people on the train safety. I wasn’t sure if he had a knife or if he had a gun.”

“I finally saw it escalating to the point where he was getting physical and people are getting pushed around. The whole thing is about to explode. I thought the best thing to do was go over there and subdue him,” Kaczmarek added.

The shirtless man was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
