Spice Girls Musical Coming Soon
It has been 14 years since pop group The Spice Girls debuted their catchy dance tracks and unique fashion sense to the world. The group’s manager, Simon Fuller, and Mama Mia producer Judy Craymer announced this week their plans for Viva Forever—a Spice Girls musical. Craymer told Variety, “This is not a tribute show. It'll be a mix of fact and fiction, a story of women and friendship. The Spice Girls create a lot of excitement, and the show will tap into the essence of them.”
Steve Harvey to Host Family Feud
Comedian Steve Harvey has been chosen as the new host of long-running game show “Family Feud,” after current host John O‘Hurley announced his retirement from the post. O’Hurley said in a statement, “The time has come to try something new, and while I have prized my time on ‘Family Feud,’ I’ve decided to set a course for new adventures.” Harvey, who hosts his own radio show, and recently enjoyed tremendous success with his book of relationship advice, will debut as the show’s host this fall.
Tara Reid Engaged
Actress Tara Reid plans to marry Internet entrepreneur Michael Axtmann. The American Pie star and her new fiancé were applauded by fellow restaurant diners when Axtmann popped the question over dinner, Reid’s representative told People. The couple are reportedly planning to be wed by the summer.
Pee Wee Herman Takes the Stage
Actor Paul Reubens is reviving his most famous role in the much-anticipated “Pee Wee Herman Show,” which opened this week at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. The show has garnered quite a following among stars. Monday’s open hosted a number of celebrities including David Arquette, Marisa Tomei, David Hasselhoff, Ellen Page, and Seth Meyers. Reuben, who reportedly also has a Pee Wee movie in the works, will be laughing it up as the apparently timeless character through Feb. 7.
