Jack Black to Produce Online Sitcom
Actor Jack Black and his production company Electric Dynamite will executive produce a yet-to-be-titled sitcom for NBC centering on an Internet love story, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Writer Michael Diliberti will write the script featuring a couple who meets online and fall in love, despite the disapproval of others in their lives.
Robin Williams Weds
“Let the wedding madness begin!” tweeted Zelda Williams, daughter of comedian extraordinaire Robin Williams, on Saturday. Her famous father married graphic designer Susan Schneider in a ceremony in Napa Valley on October 23. Among the guests at the Meadowood Resort were director George Lucas and fellow comedian Billy Crystal, according to Us Weekly.
UNICEF Awards Sting and Trudie Styler
Musician Sting and his wife and UNICEF UK Ambassador Trudie Styler were awarded by the U.S. Fund for UNICEF with the Children’s Champion Award. The pair were recognized “for their commitment to improving children’s lives and the environment,” according to the organization. Accepting the award with her husband, Styler said, “The work we’ve done for human rights, the environment, and UNICEF has been some of the most rewarding work of our lives.”
According to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, the award is given annually to those who “strive to help UNICEF reach the day when zero children die from preventable causes.”
