Farmers are quitting at an alarming rate, and it’s putting our already fragile food systems at risk.
The mass exodus of farmers could send food prices soaring even higher, or, worse, completely tank the U.S. food supply.
But not all is lost. There is a way to secure your food independence and prepare for whatever comes next.
According to the UN Food and Agricultural Organization, the number of farms globally will shrink from 616 million in 2020 to 272 million in the year 2100.
And that’s not even factoring in recent farmer losses due to government policies. It’s likely to happen much sooner.
It’s getting so tough that even multigenerational family farms are closing down. In the United States alone, farms have sharply decreased from 6.8 million in 1935 to less than 2 million by 2023.
To make matters worse, foreign investors are buying up American farmland.
Governments aren’t helping. In fact, they are part of the problem.
Excessive regulations and pushes for “green” farming are driving farmers out of business. Without farmers, people will starve. Chaos will ensue.
Farmers understand the stakes and are fighting back. Governments also know the consequences, but continue to push bad policies and demonize farmers.
They Want Total Control
There isn’t just one factor contributing to the impending food security crisis; it’s a culmination of globalism, bad policies, and unrealistic regulations. (And there’s a land grab by billionaires and foreign entities happening in the United States.)But one thing is for certain, this collective wants total control over our food.
As Henry Kissinger so eloquently put it, “Who controls the food supply controls the people.”
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, foreign holdings on American lands nearly tripled in the last decade. As of 2022, more than 43 million acres were owned by foreign entities.
Foreign investment continues to pour into the United States because there is no federal law that restricts foreign persons from securing subsidies offered by crop and livestock insurance programs.
The ultra-wealthy are also buying up vast amounts of farmland. Putting our food systems in the hands of a few puts people like you and me at their mercy. (Billionaire Bill Gates, for example, is the largest owner of farmland in the country, holding more than 260,000 acres.)
Food Prices Could Soar Higher
Think food prices are high right now due to inflation? The near future could see prices skyrocket, and staples like bread, eggs, and meat will be a luxury. For some it already is.
This is what they want. Governments and elites have been working for years to dismantle our food security—and, as a result, our food supply is fragile.
So, what happens if, in the meantime, a cyberattack takes down the grid or severely disrupts the supply chain? It wouldn’t take much for grocery store shelves to go empty, panic to ensue, and violence to erupt in the streets.
Even a bad storm can cause food-buying panic.
But what is the solution? How do we navigate this global food security crisis and ensure that our families have enough to eat?
