Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes here direct translations of statements made by Chinese people who renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its subordinate organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to a website affiliate of the Chinese version of The Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang” in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after The Epoch Times published the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. The statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.
Announcement of the Three Withdrawals
I have realized how evil the CCP is. The Communist Party is worse than gangsters; it is corrupt and oppresses the common people. The last time a Party membership meeting was held at our village, someone said, “The Nationalist [Kuomingtang] Party is better than the CCP!” Then others replied, “We had better quit the Party!”
After I joined the Party, I found my membership had perks attached to it. Whenever we had a meeting, they gave us gifts. I only paid 50 yuan for my membership fee a year, but they gave me stuff valued at more than 2,000 yuan. (I didn’t have a job, otherwise the membership fee would have been higher.) At the time I thought I would quit the Party after I had received the benefits from the Party. However, I’ve now realized what a serious issue it is to quit the party, so I’ve decided to immediately withdraw from the CCP. I firmly withdraw from the evil CCP and its affiliated organizations, the Youth League and Young Pioneers. I quit the Party using the alias “Hen Dang” (Hate Party), and enjoy living a safe life from here on out.

Only When the CCP Perishes Can People Be Free
My more than 70-year-old father and I quit the CCP regime and it’s organizations that overtook the country’s legal government by violence and fraud. It’s the biggest liar in human history. How could this gang of rogues and bandits destroy our beautiful country to such an extent! They’ve drained and sold out all the valuable resources that our ancestors left behind. China’s once lofty morality cannot be found any more. Down with the Chinese Communists!

Quitting Statement
I joined the Chinese Communist Party with the ideals in mind of serving the people and dedicating myself to the country. In the following decades, as I became aware of the evil nature of the CCP, I found I had been deceived. Especially in this last decade, the CCP has persecuted the good common people, and supported and promoted a large number of corrupt officials to important positions. It’s a vicious Party from top to bottom. Now we draw a line between the Party and ourselves. Therefore, we solemnly declare that we are quitting the CCP.

I Withdraw from the Youth League
After I went to Korea to study, I saw a lot of truth that I couldn’t see back home. I feel the CCP is very cruel. It has slaughtered so many innocent people. Although I joined the Youth League long ago, I still want to formally quit from it.

Quit the Communist Party As Soon As Possible
I was a veteran member of the Youth League for more than 20 years. After so many natural and man-made disasters have happened in China, I finally realized how vicious the Communist Party is. I won’t have a bright future as long as I am a member of the CCP. I want to quit the Party as soon as possible! I hereby solemnly announce that I quit from the organizations of the Youth League and Young Pioneers.

Announcement of Three Withdrawals
I have long understood the mistake of atheism and the disasters it has brought. Therefore I voluntarily withdraw from all the CCP’s affiliated organizations, including the Youth League and Young Pioneers. I wish to choose my own future!

I Want to Promote Democracy in China
As a Party member, I deeply realize the dark side of the Communist Party. Everything the Party has done is not to benefit the people but to line its own pockets. The recent series of domestic events best explain how furious the public is. I therefore announce that I quit the Communist Party and firmly support the implementation of a democratic multiparty system and the nationalization of the military in China. I am willing to dedicate myself to promoting China’s democratic and political reforms.

I Renounce the Oath I Swore
I hereby solemnly announce that I firmly quit from the affiliated organizations of the Communist Party, and I renounce the oath I swore when I joined the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. The goals set by the Chinese communists are a complete pack of lies. The theoretical foundation of the CCP is very absurd, so is the philosophy of struggle advocated by the Chinese communists. I was deeply injured by both of them. This one-party dictatorship allows no voice except the mouthpiece of the communists. How can common people enjoy democracy or civil rights?

The Young Pioneers’ Bloody Scarf
I didn’t know that the Communist Party is a very vicious organization. Nor did I realize that the so-called Young Pioneers is an evil gang that entraps innocent children. I saw the ugly face of the Communist Party after my dad told me the truth. I didn’t know how much evil the Young Pioneers’ red scarves are stained with! I hereby solemnly announce that I quit from the Young Pioneers.
