The Blacklist season 1 is wrapping up and fans are wondering about the events that will take place in the finale--and also whether the show has been renewed for a season 2.

The show has already been renewed, for another season of 22 episodes.

As for the finale, several key pieces have come out. Entertainment Weekly says that a “major death” will happen before the finale--which seems to indicate on the April 28 episode, since the finale is split into two parts and starts next week.

The only other part of that spoiler is that the death isn’t Ressler, because he’s named as the person who is most impacted by it.

TVGuide spoke with creator Jon Bokenkamp about the finale, which is titled “Berlin” after an escaped prisoner.

Bokenkamp said that the finale is “big and muscular,” and said more details will come out about Tom Keen.

“In regard to both Tom and the series as a whole, we will give some satisfying answers,” he said. “It has built into that episode specifically some really big mysteries that will be really fun to unwrap.”

Official descriptions for both parts of the finale have been released by NBC.

The first part, airing May 5: “Liz refuses to work with Red after discovering the truth about the death of her father. Seeking to make amends and force Liz to see him, Red brings the FBI a case they can’t ignore. Meanwhile, Liz reveals what she knows about Tom’s secret life to the FBI.”

The second part, airing May 12: “With the crashing of the mysterious prisoner transport plane, the city is on lock down as the authorities are on the hunt for all the escapees. Meanwhile, with Red in custody, Liz uses her power to get him out since he is their best chance at finding all the suspects. Elsewhere, their main objective is to track down Berlin, a prisoner on the plane who is somehow involved.”
