American comic book writer Rick Remender will share details about his upcoming series of Marvel comics “The Avengers vs. X-Men: AXIS,” which will come out in comic-book format this fall.
Remender will be answering fans’ questions during a live blog session starting at 3 p.m. EST on Monday, June 16, 2014. Click here to join in.
The panel discussion where Remender will reveal more details about the main story line, and release the comics, will take place during the New York comic-book convention at the Javits Center, from October 3—12, 2014.
“The Avengers vs. X-Men: AXIS” will come out in nine issues, and the story is already getting called “the next big thing.” It will be the continuation and aggregation of the top yielding blockbusters of the past decade and will cross over into other comics like “Iron Man,” “Magneto,” “Loki: Agent of Asgard,” and Remender’s own “Captain America” and “Uncanny Avengers.”
This story, however, will revive yet another super villain Red Skull who is the archenemy of Captain America.
“The nihilistic Red Skull, a bad guy with Nazi roots who has been battling Cap in comics since 1941, has had parts of Charles Xavier’s mind and telepathic powers sewn onto his own brain,” writes USA Today about the character.
