Disney and director J.J. Abrams screened the unfinished cut of the new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” to a terminally ill cancer patient, Daniel Fleetwood, last week. According to reports on Tuesday, Fleetwood died at the age of 32.

Fleetwood suffered from spindle cell sarcoma, a rare type of cancer, and his doctors gave him two months to live.

On Tuesday, his wife, Ashley, confirmed he died via her Facebook page.

She wrote: “Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love. This was the last selfie we ever took together. #‎forcefordaniel”
