The Daily Telegraph’s Twitter feed was hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army, the pro-government group said.

Two tweets on Monday afternoon read: “Syrian Electronic Army Was Here via @Official_SEA12 #SEA,” before linking to the website sea.sy.

One of the tweets was then taken down and replaced with another one, which reads: “The Syrian Arab Army discovers a Zionist vehicle in Qusayr, exposing the Israeli regime in the proxy war against Syria.”

The apparent security breach follows several other high-profile hacks by the Syrian Electronic Army.

Twitter accounts belonging to The Associated Press, the Financial Times, and other media agencies were compromised by the group. Even satirical news website The Onion was hacked, triggering a series of articles from the website, including one with the headline saying “Syrian Electronic Army Has A Little Fun Before Inevitable Upcoming Deaths At Hands Of Rebels.”
