Video: Taylor Swift Takes a Tumble in New Apple Commercial

Updated:

There seems to be no bad blood between Apple Music and Taylor Swift.

After the “Shake it Off” singer posted an open letter to Apple last year, voicing her displeasure with the company’s policy on three months of streaming without artist compensation, Apple backtracked and later agreed to pay musicians.

The relationship between the two brands is now better than ever—culminating with Taylor Swift starring in a new Apple music commercial.

In the commercial, released on April 1, Swift prepares for a treadmill workout by playing “Jumpman” off the album, “What A Time To Be Alive,” a joint collaboration between Drake and Future.

As the songstress raps word to word with Drake, Swift experiences a nasty spill and slides off the treadmill, referenced as #TAYLORvsTREADMILL.

The 1989-born pop star claims the commercial is “Based on true events,” when she revealed the new ad to her 74 million Twitter followers. The hilarious video has been liked over 47,000 times—a treat for Apple, which turns 40 today

Drake shocked fans when he didn’t sign with Jay Z’s music subscription, Tidal, and instead inked a deal with Apple Music last year, worth a reported $20 million.
