Starworks Racing has announced the driver line-up for its No. 8 Riley-Ford for the 2013 Grand Am Rolex 24-hour race: regulars Ryan Dalziel and Alex Popow will be joined by endurance racing aces Allan McNish and Sebastien Bourdais for the American endurance classic.
Dalziel, Popow and McNish were three-fifths of the team which nearly got Starworks the win in the 2012 event, trailing the winner by only six seconds. McNish is a two-time Le Mans 24 winner; he has started the race 13 times and finished nine times, ending up in the top-three eight times.
McNish has earned a win and three podiums at the Rolex 24 in the seven times he’s entered the race.
Sebastien Bourdais, is also a Le Mans vet, with ten starts and three second-place finishes. Bourdais co-drove in three races for Starworks in 2012, earning a win and two podiums. 2013 will be his fourth Rolex 24 start.
