NEW YORK—A bevy of celebs teamed up with Starbucks on Times Square to help launch their new line of Red Exclusive beverages on Friday, November 28th. The charitable program, which donates funds to AIDS research in Africa, will run through January 2, 2009.
Celebrity chef Mario Batali, and actors Mary Louise Parker, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Annabella Sciorra, and Helena Christensen all donned bright red aprons and served up steaming Starbucks drinks to the Times Square crowd.
For every Red Exclusive beverage purchased (Peppermint Mocha Twist, Gingersnap Latte and Espresso Truffle) Starbucks will contribute five cents to the Global Fund to invest in AIDS programs in Africa.
