The spring bank holiday date for 2014 is here on May 26.
The holiday means that HSBC, Barclays, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, and TSB are all closed.
Some businesses such as restaurants and other shops are also closed while others remain open.
The holiday is honored in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man.
The next bank holiday in England and Wales is the Summer Bank Holiday, which will fall on August 26 this year.
Then there will be Christmas Day on December 25 and Boxing Day on December 26.
