Friends and family gathered to wish good luck to Matt Guthmiller in Aberdeen South Dakota airport.
19-year-old Matt is attempting to be the youngest person to fly solo around the world. He rented a single-engine airplane for this 28,000-mile journey which will include 25 stops in 14 countries over the next few weeks. He plans to donate all the profit to code.org non-profit organization.
Matt says that biggest thing he wants to accomplished with this whole thing is to go out and inspire other people to do big things.
