Sole Survivor Documentary TV Schedule: When and Where to Watch

The “Sole Survivor” documentary has a release date finalized for CNN’s TV schedule.

People can watch the documentary on January 9 at 9 p.m., 11 p.m., and 2 a.m. EDT.

The film will also be shown on January 12 at the same times.

The film “explores the complex emotional aftermath experienced by survivors of major aviation disasters,” according to CNN Films. Survivors include George Lamson Jr., who at 17 was the sole survivor of Galaxy Airlines flight 203 after it crashed near Reno, Nevada in ; and Jim Polehinke, a first officer at Conair who survived a flight that crashed while trying to take off from Blue Grass Airport on Kentucky in 2006.

Polehinke shares his experience struggling with depression and self-medication following the crash. He felt survivor’s guilty, an experience “reflected in the conflicting emotions of the family members left behind by the dead.”

Along with interviews with survivors, family members of survivors discuss how their loved ones changed following the situations.
