There’s a viral Spanish e-mail going around saying that Shakira has died.
The claims aren’t true, and the posts are merely designed to spread malware.
According to the Hoax-Slayer website, “According to a Spanish language email that has been hitting inboxes, popular Colombian star Shakira has been killed in a car accident. The email claims that Shakira’s manager was driving the car and that he was seriously injured in the accident. The email includes an attached Microsoft Word document that supposedly contains exclusive images and further details about the accident.”
It adds: “However, the claims in the email are untrue. Shakira is alive and well. And the attachment does not contain images and information about a car accident as claimed. Dynamoo’s Blog writer Conrad Longmore reports that the attached Microsoft Word document contains a malicious macro.”
It’s not recommended to click on the e-mail.
According to Online Threat Alerts, “Once your computer has become infected with this malicious Trojan horse, the cybercriminals behind this email message will be able to access and take control of your computer remotely from anywhere around the world. They may spy on you, use your computer to commit cybercrimes, or steal your personal and financial information.”

Abordo del vehículo también se encontraba su manager, que quedó con heridas graves. Testigos, dicen que el auto conducido por este último, se dirigia a exceso de velocidad..
