Seneca Wallace, the Green Bay Packers backup quarterback, was inserted into the game during “Monday Night Football” against the Bears.

UPDATE: Rodgers will not return to the game with a collarbone injury.

Wallace was put into the game after Rodgers got hurt in the first quarter.

He threw an interception to Bears defender Julius Peppers on his first series.

The Chicago Bears’ Shea McClellin sacked Rodgers and he was seen on his back for a while before he got off the field. He was seen getting medical attention on the sidelines before he headed to the locker room.

“Aaron Rodgers headed to the locker room with an injury,” reported ESPN. “QB Aaron Rodgers jogging off field to locker room. Was getting looked at on sideline following sack,” the Packers tweeted.

Wallace, who entered the NFL in 2003 and has mostly been a backup--starting only around two dozen games. He was picked up by the Packers this season and did not attend training camp.

The last time Wallace played a game was for the Cleveland Browns in 2011.
