For fans who can’t wait for the Sebring 12 Hours on March 16, the American Le Mans Series Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway (Feb. 5–8) is a low-cost, high-excitement winter break.

Want to see which teams are switching cars, and which new teams are getting ready for the 2013 season? Want to see the newest liveries? Come to Sebring, enjoy the perfect Florida winter weather, and get up close and personal with some of the best racing cars in the world.

The Winter Test is the first chance for teams to drive new cars at racing speed, try out updates devised over the off-season, and to give new or prospective drivers a chance to run hot laps and work with the crews.

The four-day Winter Test is divided in half; for the first two days, ladder series like the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites, IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada, and Cooper Tires USF2000 are on the track.

The final two days are reserved for the ALMS cars. Look for Muscle Milk Picket Racing with possibly an updated HPD, Rebellion’s Petit Le Mans-winning Lola, and Dyson Racing with possibly a pair of hybrid Lola-Mazdas. It is even possible that a few European teams might show up to prepare for the Twelve Hours.

Ticket prices for the test days are a ridiculously low $10 per day. Visit sebringraceway.com. for tickets and more information. While you are there, pick up tickets for the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The 2013 race will be the last truly international Sebring Twelve Hours for an undetermined length of time. Don’t miss this final, historic event.
