Simon Beck, a snow artist and skier, creates art in the snow, leaving many in awe.
“Thanks for the Christmas wishes (and all the best to my fans, equally). Thanks for the concern over my safety. Yes, it is frustrating, tonight I feel in tiptop health, none of the coughing that spoils a lot of the winter for me, the only reason I am not out there right now on the lake outside the building where I stay; is the concern over the ice safety,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
He added: “The other common theme is the temporary nature of my art. Well, a photograph is permanent. Without photography I am not sure I would ever have got into this!”
A number of people expressed awe over his artwork.
“WOW! All of your work is breathtaking! How do you get paid for your snow artwork, sir? Can’t imagine God leaving checks in the snow for ya. Well, Merry Christmas! AND you are amazing,” wrote one.
Added another: “Incredible - weather permitting - and must take huge physical stamina - I find this inspiring!”
