FIA World Rally Championship Spain - Day Three

Nine-time World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb plans to enter the newly created GT World Series in a McLaren MP4-12C GTE, he announced at the introduction of the 2013 Citroen World Rally team Thursday.

According to Autopsport.com, the 38-year-old French driver said, “I will do the World GT Championship. I like the format of the races in this championship it is for two one-hour races through the weekend. There are two drivers and we have the tire change as well.”

Loeb also plans to compete in three to five WRC rounds with co-driver Daniel Elena, according to his website. “We will start the season in Monte Carlo and we will also compete in Sweden, because it is a rally that I really want to win fair and square. Also I cannot imagine missing the Rallye de France,” he said.

Besides winning nine consecutive WRC titles between 2004 and 2012, Loeb has driven GT and sports cars, finishing second at Le Mans in 2006 and has also won the Race of Champions three times.
