Are Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue of Canada dating or married? Rumors are flying after the pair’s silver medal win at the Sochi Olympics.
In fact, like gold medal winners Charlie White and Meryl Davis, Moir and Virtue are not romantically involved.
Moir has a girlfriend who is known by her first name only, Cassandra. Virtue is currently single.
Moir and Virtue have been together for a long time, first competing in 1997, and have also been romantically involved before, though it’s unclear for how long or when.
“It’s hard to explain,” Moir told W Network, where a six-part series was aired about their training and relationship.
But he did add that things are “hot and heavy” with Cassandra, who he has been dating for around a year.

Virtue described the relationship during the show as something different than a husband and wife, dating, or being siblings--something else altogether.
Virtue also said that she is too busy to date, not in the right spot for a relationship, and couldn’t be the type of girlfriend that a guy would want.
Scott said in one of the episodes that he would love to spend more time with Cassandra after skyping with her, but that he loves spending time with Virtue as well. Apparently Cassandra and Virtue have never met, something Virtue said might be because what she and him share is something so special it could be hard for someone on the outside to understand.
The pair are pondering whether to retire after Sochi or continue competing, though they’re reportedly leaning toward retiring.
