It is understandable that guys get nervous when proposing to their girlfriends, and things can turn complicated if the future father-in-law steps in, like what one in Nevada did in March 2018. See for yourself.

Allison Barron and Levi Bliss met while studying at the University of Nevada, Reno, and had been together for two years before Bliss decided to propose to her in March.

“Once Levi and I started dating, it didn’t take long at all to know that he was the one for me,” Allison, 22, told PEOPLE. “Everything was so easy with him. I’d always heard that you’d just know, but never knew if I completely believed it. With Levi, I really just knew.”

To set up the “Marry Me?” sign on the side of the mountain, Levi enlisted help from Allison’s family.

“Her family went out and set up the letters on the side of the hill,” Levi told InsideEdition.

Meanwhile, Levi told Allison that they were going to meet her parents for breakfast.

“We were driving, she looked out the window and I was like, ‘Hey, what’s over there?’ She looked over and saw it and started crying,” Levi recalled.

“I immediately started crying, overwhelmed with joy, we got out of the truck, and he got down on one knee,” Allison said.

“You always imagine this moment, and now it was happening to me.”

After Allison said yes, the pair saw her father holding a sign that read, “Say No,” in capitalized letters.

Fortunately, it was just a joke as Levi had already asked Allison’s father for permission beforehand.

“It was a funny surprise for both of us. My dad was completely joking with the sign, and he really likes Levi!” Allison assured.

“It’s really just his personality. He is always making funny little comments and ‘dad’ jokes here and there!”

Allison told Buzzfeed that Levi and her father are actually “very close.”

“We have gone on many trips all together and they have hung out just the two of them before too, playing tennis, riding dirt bikes, and other activities,” she said.

When the photos were posted on her Twitter, they quickly took off.

“You always see little things like this blow up on Twitter and now it’s me,” Allison said.

“It [has] also been one of the best days ever, so I really get to just keep reliving it!”

The couple’s wedding was scheduled for Oct. 6.

Congratulations to them!
