Sandra Bullock was “strung up on wires for eight to nine hours a day,” during the shooting of her new film Gravity, which hits theaters October 4, she told the Daily Mail. She learned to meditate through the pain and use the pain as inspiration in some scenes.
Warner Bros. released the trailer for the movie of Tuesday. (See video below)
It recalls Apollo 13, with the communication: “This is Houston … Mission abort.” The high-adrenaline trailer shows Bullock working on a space craft in a space suit when everything begins spiraling out of control and she is eventually sucked into space.
Bullock told Extra at the San Diego Comic-Con on the weekend, “My feet feel really good on the ground.” She has a fear of heights.
She also mentioned that her 3-year-old son, Louis, has become a science fiction fan, influenced by the Comic-Con enthusiasts and “Trekkies” in her family.
Gravity also stars George Clooney and is directed by Alfonso Cuarón. The space thriller, which sets Bullock adrift in space, will premier at the Venice Film Festival next month ahead of its fall release in theaters.
