People are reporting in San Francisco that they felt an earthquake early Tuesday morning just after 1 a.m. PDT.
“Trembler of 1 - 2 seconds in San Francisco California about 2 minutes ago,” said Paul Martin via Twitter.
“I just felt an earthquake in San Francisco. Who else felt that? #the #joys #of #insomnia,” said Jeff Morris Jr., also via Twitter.
The U.S. Geological Service said that the earthquake was 3.2 magnitude and hit two miles east/northeast of Berkeley, as well as two miles west/northwest of Orinda.
It was also four miles east of Albany and four miles north of Piedmont, as well as 62 miles southwest of Sacramento.
The quake hit at a depth of 4.5 miles.
