What would convince you to buy a new smart TV in 2015? How about a brand new operating system? Samsung revealed on Wednesday that each and every one of its smart TVs releasing in 2015 will run a new platform based around the Tizen OS.

You might remember Tizen as the first-party OS that Samsung has repeatedly attempted to bring to its mobile devices over the past several months. Carriers aren’t convinced that the platform would survive in competition with iOS and Android, so Samsung has decided to bring it to a new category of electronics.

Alongside the inclusion of the new OS, Samsung has redesigned its Smart Hub to allow easier access to content recommend new shows and movies based on your interests. The new TVs will also feature WiFi Direct, allowing users to stream content from their televisions directly to their mobile devices.
We also know that Samsung’s 2015 lineup will come equipped with PlayStation Now functionality, bringing full PlayStation 3 games to the television without a game console.
