Samsung’s lackluster financial performance for the year and a disappointing response to the Galaxy S5 have led Samsung to replace its head of mobile design twice. Instead of looking within the company this time around, Samsung has brought in Lee Don-Tae, formerly of London-based design firm Tangerine, in order to refresh the designs of Samsung’s devices.
It was only last year that Chang Dong-hoon, Samsung’s then-head of mobile design resigned, and was replaced by Lee Min-hyouk.
According to The Korean Herald, Samsung has now brought in outsider Lee Don-Tae, who started working with Samsung as of January. He will oversee the designs of a majority of Samsung’s products, but will not be focusing on any one product specifically.
