A fight in Rikers Island jail in New York City was caught on video.

The  men fought with mop sticks, chairs, and even a knife for more than a hour, reported ABC, which obtained the video.

The two minute, 34 second video shows inmates throwing chairs at each other and hitting each other with mop sticks.

The fight took place on August 5 but the video was only recently obtained.

Officers couldn’t break up the fight because there isn’t enough staffing, said Norman Seabrook, president of the Corrections Officers Benevolent Association.

“We don’t have the staff to break it up,” he said. “The officers certainly can’t go in there with just 3 officers against 60 inmates.”

32 inmates were disciplined after the fight, and some will be criminally charged.

Rikers Island is New York City’s main jail complex and sits on an island on the East River between Queens and the Bronx. About 13,000 inmates are housed there.
