The US vs. Portugal soccer game on Sunday made some grumpy and others glad. Twitter revealed that you don’t have to be a soccer fan to support the teams playing at the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
The score was 2 to 1 in favor of the USA, but 10 seconds before the end of the game, Portuguese winger Silvestre Varela evened out the score with a goal.
Soon after the match, celebrities took to Twitter to express their support and encouragement for the US team.
Justin Timberlake tweeted: “What a match. 30 seconds away from advancing! Still, we control our own destiny... #IBelieve“
“One Tree Hill” actress Sophia Bush simply said “Damn,” and Sarah Hyland from “Modern Family” tweeted “We didn’t lose. A point’s a point. So proud of our team.”
