Revolution on NBC was canceled officially this week.
Fans had been holding out hope that the show would get renewed after the network seriously disrupted the viewing schedule.
There was added hope after show creator Eric Kripke skipped WonderCon to pitch a season 3 to the network.
There’s still two episodes left, including the season finale.
Executive producer Rockne O’Bannon, who was at the panel, said that the season 2 finale and the episodes leading up to it are “really hot” and “really good stuff,” reported Zap2It.
“Everything comes together in these final four episodes in terms of the patriot mission coming to a head at the same time that the nano takes a hard look at humanity as its creator and it’s lacking,” he said. “Plus, something is whispered into Rachel’s ear that changes everything about what was behind the blackout.”
Though the finale is technically the last episode, O’Bannon said that the last four episodes are sort of a four hour event. Rachel will be the lightning rod for both the Patriots and the nano-tech storyline, tying it all together.
“Marrying the two was nice,” said Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays Rachel. “It was nice to be in the world battling the patriots and to be in Aaron’s world as well.”
O’Bannon also said that with the death of Jason and Neville losing his wife as well, the former leader is “the definition of a loose cannon.”
