TAIPEI, Taiwan—On Feb. 20, Shen Yun Performing Arts presented its premiere in Taipei to a full-house audience at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei City. After seeing the performance, retired Major General Zhao Zixiang said with emotion: “As Shen Yun promotes the spirit of the divinely inspired Chinese culture, China should also recognize the connotations of kindness and compassion in the comprehensive Chinese culture, so as to bring far-reaching vision to China.”
The Shen Yun performance began with a program in which golden rays of light fell softly on the snow white clouds of a distant paradise. A heavenly host gathered to hear the Lord Buddha, who called upon them to descend with him to Earth, to make a magnificent history for humankind.
The audience was in awe at the scenes portraying goodness and evil on stage, as well as programs full of compassion, magnificence, and perfection. They watched the performance attentively, as if they couldn’t wait to see what would be performed next.
Mr. Zhao was enthralled with Shen Yun’s reputation around the world and he spoke highly of its performances in various countries. He also said that Falun Gong’s popularity the world over would usher in a new hope for China.
Seeing every story showing the mercy of Buddha and Gods, the retired general said: “The Chinese authorities should see that if Shen Yun is performed in China, it could lead the younger generation in China to another realm of culture, so that China could be blessed by the Gods again.”
Mr. Zhao especially liked the dance Sand Monk Is Blessed. He noted that the perfect synchronization of sound effects, lighting, dancing and technology offered the audience a euphonic and audio experience. He said that Shen Yun’s performance is indeed a world-class show.
