President Barack Obama and his family will leave Washington, D.C. right after Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, according to a report.
Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama along with their two daughters will head to Palm Springs, California, for a vacation, TMZ reported.
They will board a helicopter on Friday after leaving the Capitol. Then, they‘ll head to Andrews Air Force Base, where they’ll then get on a government jet heading for Palm Springs.
There have been unconfirmed reports that the Obamas purchased a home near Palm Springs, in Rancho Mirage, located in Southern California.
And while taxpayer dollars will pay for the Obamas’ plane trip to Palm Springs, they'll have to pay for their trip back.
