Renee Zellweger showed off another new look this week, appearing on set for the movie she’s starring in and changing from blonde to brunette to play her character.

Zellweger, 45, was back to work for the drama Same Kind of Different As Me in Jackson, Mississippi--the first time she was on set in almost a month.

The actress first came onto the set in casual clothes and her blonde hair before putting on a long-sleeve, blue denim shirt and red jeans to go with her brunette wig.

The film is based off the non-fiction book published in June 2006. It describes the lives of Denver Moore, a sharecropper on a plantation in Louisiana, and Ron Hall, who met Moore while volunteering in a meals program.

Djimon Hounsou and Jon Voight are among the other stars on the film, which doesn’t have a release date as of yet.

Zellweger arrived on the set with her long blonde hair tucked under a baseball cap, wearing grey cargo pants, trainers, and a grey sweater, reported the Daily Mail.

Zellweger was last in the 2010 drama My Own Love Song, and has a drama coming out soon--The Whole Truth.

The Bridget Jones’s Diary star was the subject of plastic surgery rumors recently after she made an appearance on October 20 looking drastically different.

But she denied having work done, insisting the transformation was due to a lifestyle change.

“I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows,” she told People. “It seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn’t exist won’t get off my porch until I answer the door.”

She added, “Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I’m happy.”
