Real Housewives of New Jersey might be in jeopardy after star Teresa Giudice goes to prison next year.
A source revealed to the New York Daily News that after Guidice goes to prison for 15 months on fraud charges, the show probably will be shelved until she gets out.
The Bravo source said, “There is zero moving forward anytime soon for ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey.’”
“If we’re doing a season seven, Teresa will be part of it,” the source says. “We would shoot it when she’s out of jail.”
Specifically, Giudice will report to a federal prison in Danbury, Conn., starting from Jan. 5. But it’s unlikely that she will serve out the full 15-month term.
“The season for ‘Housewives’ is not consistent in the way that the other shows are, like ’OK, episode one is always Jan. 1‘ or whatever,” the source added. “ ’Real Housewives of New York' missed an entire year before we brought it back. It’s not that we have to do it within a certain amount of time. We do it when we know it’s right and when we want to do it.”
The person continued in saying Bravo executives are trying to figure out what to do next.
“We can’t really figure it out until we see what’s going to happen with her and the rest of the cast,” the insider said.
Amid the rumors about the show, another report from RadarOnline claims Giudice is barely eating and has dropped weight amid the stress of going to prison.
“She looks frail. Her family is worried as she continues to obsess about prison and waste away,” the source told Radar.
The report also claimed her husband, Joe, who is also slated to go to prison after she does her time has been drinking heavily.
“Joe’s been known to start drinking hard alcohol at 10 a.m.,” a source, who purportedly witnessed him drinking, told the site. “It’s been going on for years, even when things were going good for them.”
