Ray Rice robbedThe home of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was robbed over the weekend, according to reports.

The robber took guns and about $2,000 in cash out of Rice’s Maryland home, reported the Baltimore Sun. The the thief also ransacked his house.

Rice was out of town when the robbery took place. Baltimore County police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton said it took place between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 12:50 a.m. Saturday, reported The Associated Press.

A friend was staying at Rice’s home when the robbery took place.

Batton said that the burglar broke in via a rear window and said surveillance footage shows the suspect.

“My family and I are fine, which is the most important thing,” Rice stated to USA Today. “This is an unfortunate incident that I am dealing with through the proper channels.”
